When an emergency happens, it’s not just one person or one team that steps in — it’s a coordinated effort. At Llano Regional Hospital, we’re proud to work side-by-side with Llano EMS teams to deliver fast, skilled, and seamless care to our community.
During EMS Week, we recognize the critical role these first responders play — and the power of what happens when EMS and hospital teams work together.
From the moment a 911 call comes in, EMS teams are in motion. They’re the first on the scene — stabilizing, assessing, and starting treatment before a patient ever reaches our doors. And once they do, it’s not a handoff — it’s a continuation of care.
“The partnership between EMS and our hospital is built on trust and communication,” said Pat McDowell, chair of the Llano County Hospital Authority. “It means faster care, smoother transitions, and better outcomes for patients.”
But the collaboration doesn’t stop at emergencies. EMS also works with our hospital on interfacility transfers, post-hospital rehabilitation admission, and community health events. We share in the mission to make sure Llano and the surrounding areas have access to care when it matters most.
To our partners at Hamilton County EMS, we express our deep gratitude and thanks. Your quick action, professionalism, and dedication save lives — and your partnership makes our hospital stronger.
This week, and every week, we’re grateful to serve alongside you.
